Intellectual property

The website, its code, design, texts, the getbrief name and logo belong to GHZ Creative - F.Z.E. Reproduction without prior written permission is prohibited, except normal browsing, caching and fair quotation. Videos belong to their authors and platforms. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook are trademarks of their owners; getbrief is not affiliated with them.

The same company publishes GHZ Creative and GHZ Composite. Their legal pages are separate from this one.

Terms of service

1. Who we are and what the service is

getbrief is operated by GHZ Creative - F.Z.E (“getbrief”, “we”, “us”). It turns a public video link (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook) into written notes, called a “brief”, generated by an AI model from the transcript of the video, and lets you ask questions about that transcript. By using getbrief you accept these terms, the privacy policy, the cancellation and refund terms and the acceptable use rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You can use the free tier without an account. To create an account you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and give a valid email address. There is no password: we email you a six-digit code that expires after 10 minutes and allows five attempts, and we keep you signed in for up to a year of activity. You are responsible for everything done from your account and for the security of your inbox. Tell us quickly if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Free tier, credit packs and Pro

  • Free: three briefs a day, counted per device and per account. The brief is complete; you can copy it as Markdown.
  • Credit packs: a prepaid number of briefs (100, 250, 500 or 1,000). Credits never expire, one is used per generated brief, and they unlock every Pro feature except playlists. A brief served from our cache, or one that fails, does not use a credit.
  • Pro: a monthly or yearly subscription with unlimited briefs for personal use, questions to the video, the transcript and downloads, short, detailed and “for AI” lengths, output language choice, tags and playlists. “Unlimited” is subject to a fair-use ceiling that exists to stop automated use. A normal person will not reach it.

We may change what each plan includes. Changes that reduce a paid plan are announced by email at least 30 days before they apply to you.

4. Prices, payment and renewal

Prices are shown in euros. GHZ Creative - F.Z.E is established in the United Arab Emirates and does not charge VAT; the price you see is the price you pay. Your bank or local tax rules may still apply to your purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for. We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal. Fees already paid are not refundable, as explained in the cancellation and refund terms.

5. Your links, your briefs and sharing

You keep all rights to the links you submit and to the notes you write. You give us the technical permission needed to fetch the transcript, generate the brief, store it, show it back to you and keep it in your history. Every brief has its own long, unguessable link: anyone who has that link can read the brief, and search engines are told not to index it. Share links with care.

To avoid processing the same video twice, briefs and transcripts are kept in a shared cache for 30 days. Another person who submits the same public video with the same settings may receive the same brief, and it never contains your identity.

6. Third-party content and rights holders

Videos belong to their authors and platforms. Only submit links to content that is publicly accessible. getbrief does not host or redistribute videos: it processes spoken words to produce notes for your personal use. If you are a rights holder and want a brief removed, email ilyess@ghzcreative.ai with the link of the brief and of the video. We will review it promptly and remove the brief when the request is valid.

7. AI output is not advice

Briefs are automated summaries made from transcripts. They can be incomplete, inaccurate or biased, they do not see what is only shown on screen, and speech recognition can mishear names and numbers. Check what matters against the original video. getbrief is a note-taking aid. It does not provide medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice, and you are responsible for what you do with a brief.

8. Availability and third-party services

We do our best to keep the service running, but it depends on third parties (video platforms, transcript and AI providers, hosting, payment) who may change, limit or block access without notice. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Some features may be labelled beta and may change or disappear.

9. Intellectual property

The service, its code, design and name remain the property of GHZ Creative - F.Z.E. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. The text of a brief is generated for you to use freely for personal or internal purposes, subject to the rights of the original video's author.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and €100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including the mandatory consumer rights of your country.

11. Termination and deletion

You can stop using getbrief at any time and ask us to delete your account at ilyess@ghzcreative.ai; we delete your account data within 30 days. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is linked to fraud or payment disputes, or harms the service or other users. Remaining credits on an account closed for breach are forfeited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always at getbrief.xyz/legal with its effective date at the top. For material changes we notify account holders by email. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Ajman and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes go to the competent courts of Ajman, unless mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you the right to another forum. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the mandatory protections of your country and may use the EU online dispute resolution platform.

Privacy policy

We collect the minimum needed to run accounts, generate briefs, take payments and prevent abuse. This section says what, why, who else handles it, and for how long.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is GHZ Creative - F.Z.E, registered in the Ajman Free Zone (UAE), licence 49512. Privacy requests: ilyess@ghzcreative.ai.

2. What we collect

  • Email address, when you sign in. Used to send your sign-in code and essential messages about your account. We send no marketing emails.
  • Sign-in data: your code and your session token are stored only as irreversible hashes. We do not store a password because there is none.
  • Links you submit and the briefs generated: the link, the title, channel and thumbnail of the video, its transcript and the brief. When you are signed in, they are attached to your history. Tags you add and questions you ask are tied to your account.
  • Usage data: time of each brief, the options chosen, the type of use (free, credit, Pro, cache) and your IP address, which we use to apply the free limit and to detect abuse.
  • Payment data: Stripe handles your card. We receive your Stripe customer identifier, the plan or pack bought, the amounts and dates, and your remaining credits.
  • Messages you send us by email, to answer you.
  • Audience statistics without cookies: page views, referrer, country, device and browser type, from Vercel Web Analytics. They do not follow you across sites and do not use advertising identifiers.

We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and do not use your links, briefs or questions to train AI models.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • Contract: to create your account, generate your briefs, answer your questions and process payments.
  • Legitimate interest: to secure the service, apply fair limits, prevent fraud and abuse, debug and improve the product, and keep anonymous audience statistics.
  • Legal obligation: to keep accounting records and answer lawful requests from authorities.

4. Who else handles your data

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

  • Vercel (USA): serves the website pages and relays requests to our API. Sees technical data such as IP address, headers and cookies in transit, and provides cookieless Web Analytics.
  • Cloudflare (USA): DNS and traffic filtering in front of our API. Sees technical data in transit.
  • Contabo (Germany, server in the EU): hosts our server and database.
  • Apify (Czech Republic): fetches the transcript of the video link you submit. Receives the link only.
  • OpenRouter (USA): routes the transcript, the title and your question to an AI model provider, currently OpenAI, to write the brief or the answer. Never receives your email address.
  • Resend (USA): delivers our emails. Receives your email address and the code or message.
  • Stripe (Ireland and USA): processes payments, invoices and the billing portal. Receives your email address and payment details.

The AI and transcript providers handle the content you submit under their own policies and may keep it for a short period. Only the operator of getbrief can access our database and our backups.

5. Transfers outside your country

Some of these providers are in the United States. Your data may therefore leave the European Economic Area or your country of residence. We rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account, history and tags: as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
  • Briefs and transcripts in the shared cache: reused for 30 days. A brief you generated stays reachable by its link until you ask us to delete it.
  • IP addresses in usage records: replaced by a placeholder after 30 days. Anti-abuse counters are deleted after 2 days, the job queue after 7 days.
  • Sign-in codes and sessions: codes expire after 10 minutes, sessions after a year without use. Expired ones are deleted.
  • Invoices and payment records: for the period required by tax and accounting law.
  • Audience statistics: aggregated and kept without personal identifiers.
  • Backups: encrypted copies of the database are kept on devices operated by GHZ Creative - F.Z.E on a rotating schedule, up to six months. Data you ask us to delete disappears from backups as they rotate.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the GDPR in the EEA, the UK GDPR, and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law), you can access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to some uses, take it with you, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Your briefs can be downloaded as Markdown at any time. To use a right, email ilyess@ghzcreative.ai; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

8. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Sign-in codes and session tokens are hashed. Requests are rate-limited, input is validated on the server, security headers are set, the database is not reachable from the internet, secrets are kept outside the code, and backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay. Please report vulnerabilities to ilyess@ghzcreative.ai.

9. Children

getbrief is not meant for children under 16 and accounts require 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is at getbrief.xyz/legal, and we notify account holders of material changes by email.

Cookies and local storage

There is no advertising cookie, no third-party tracking cookie and no cookie banner, because we set nothing that needs consent.

  • gb_session (cookie): keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary, set only after you sign in, protected from scripts, valid up to a year and renewed when you use the service. Deleted when you sign out.
  • Local storage in your browser (never sent to us): your theme (light or dark), your brief length and language preferences, and the identifier of the brief being written so it can reappear if you leave the page.
  • Audience statistics: Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless.

Our network providers (Vercel, Cloudflare) process technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the pages. That is covered in the privacy policy above.

Cancellation and refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable. The service is delivered digitally as soon as you pay, so we do not refund packs or subscription periods, whether used or not.

  • Cancel anytime: cancel your Pro subscription yourself from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again.
  • Before a renewal: if you cannot cancel from your account, email us at least 48 hours before your billing date and we cancel it for you. A renewal that was not cancelled in time is not refunded.
  • Service failure: if the service was unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours during your subscription, tell us and we extend your period accordingly.

By paying for a pack or a subscription, you ask for the digital service to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose any right of withdrawal once it has started.

Cancellation requests: ilyess@ghzcreative.ai, with the email of your account.

Acceptable use

  • Personal or internal business use only. Do not resell, republish or bulk-redistribute briefs.
  • No automated access (bots, scripts, scraping) outside the features we provide. No circumvention of the free limit, of the fair-use ceiling or of Pro features, and no attempt to overload the service.
  • Only submit links to videos that are public. Do not try to access private content, or content you have no right to access.
  • Do not use briefs to harass, defame, deceive or infringe the rights of others, or in any way that breaks the law where you live.
  • Do not use getbrief to process content that the video platforms or our AI providers prohibit under their own rules.

Breach may lead to suspension without refund. Report abuse to ilyess@ghzcreative.ai.
